Despite the cold weather conditions, we have (9) nine buildings under various stages of construction.
The first townhome has progressed to the finish stages for both interior and exterior work. The remainder are following right along with an average of a 2-week stagger in their schedules. We anticipate being in a position for occupancy in the first (3) three units in May. The Owner’s Management team is already accepting applications for spring move-ins.
Needless to say, with the number of buildings and varied stages of construction we typically have as many as 75 workers on site performing everything from framing to shingles, siding drywall and soon painting and finishing carpentry.
ABC Excellence in Construction Awards - 2025
Another great event as always was put on by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Minnesota and North Dakota with Guest Speaker Hall of Fame Twin Joe Mauer.
We are proud to announce that one of our projects this year, The Plaza at Hazeltine earned and Eagle Award at the 2024 ABC Excellence in Construction Awards banquet this year. The prestigious award goes out to all the hands that were able to put this job together and make it happen. What a way to break into the new year with scoring this Eagle.
Thank you to all the partnerships we have to continue to make these projects possible! It’s a great honor to watch the fellow ABC subcontractor members that were apart of this project to also receive accolades on stage.
Under Construction - Skyline on Sunwood, Ramsey, MN
Skyline on Sunwood is a four (4) Story multi-family apartment /commercial space w/ 1st Floor Parking located in Ramsey, MN.
We have been extremally busy working between the up and downs with the weather conditions.
Phase #1 is moving into finishes stage and Phase #2 is finishing up with framing.
Roofing will be dries in by the middle of February.
We will be starting on installing the Indoor pool in the middle of February. .
Volunteering Our Time for Others
As we approached this Holiday Season, Lyon Contracting and Trident Development reflected upon the many blessings we’ve experienced over the past year and to be thankful for them.
We had a great and amazing opportunity to give back and help others in need just by volunteering a couple of hours of our time.

On Thursday December 19th, with a small introduction from MATTER and what they are about and their mission, we assembled and boxed 800 snack packs.
These boxes were dropped off at IDS 742 and the Boys and Girls Club.
Under Construction - Avalon Apartments Inver Grove Heights, MN
Avalon Apartments, Inver Grove Heights, MN
The team at Avalon Apartments are now fully focused on the finishes of the project as we continue to push towards completion. The apartments phase 1, the teams are focused on trimming out units and having the MEP finishes following behind. Common areas are progressing nicely, and we are working on corridor finishes throughout. On phase 2, drywall just completed, painting has started, and gypcrete is being poured on the upper floors.
Under Construction - Avalon Townhomes Inver Grove Heights, MN
Avalon Townhomes - a new (2) story, 4-, 5-, & 6-unit townhouse buildings (10 total) with attached garages.
The team at Avalon Townhomes are now fully focused on the finishes of the project as we continue to push towards completion. The exterior finishes are wrapping up, driveways have been poured, and we have started to turnover buildings for tenant occupancy. The last couple buildings are completing rough ins and drywall finishes now and will not be far behind the other buildings.
Pheasant Event
A fun activity for the our Team was planned on Friday November 22nd.
It was a beautiful day to enjoy a great pheasant hunt. The smiles in the photos say it all. From 1st time hunters to well advance hunters, it was a successful event.
Thanks to Gold Meadows Preserve for the great pheasants and even a couple of bonus Albino Pheasants.

Construction is nearly complete on this beautiful 133-unit multi-family apartment in lovely Helena, MT.
Summerville Flats is thrilled to announce, it will be welcoming its new tenants home shortly after the first of the year. Residents will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and an exceptional amenity package. We are grateful to our partners at Lyon Contracting and Bigfoot Management for their hard work to make this development a success before we even open the doors.

Lyon Contracting, Inc. and Trident Development celebrated Christmas early this year! The celebration took place on Friday November 1st at the Xcel Energy Center watching the MN Wild take on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Great game, great conversations, and the MN Wild winning the game 5-3!

The Plaza at Hazeltine is a four-story, 112 unit, multi-family apartment with underground parking, uniquely located adjacent to the exclusive Hazeltine Golf Course in Chaska.
